We all have our favorites. Here is a list of the top 5 local business of Chef Lekker
For lunch, cooking classes, a cup of tea or coffee with a delicious pastry, the Uncommon Cafe has it all. Besides making killer sandwiches, they also house a whole bunch of small businesses in their commissary kitchen. Some of the items you can even buy in the cafe.
The Uncommon cafe’s decor and equipment come from pre-owned sources, and the use of local suppliers is a common practice for a cafe that strives to be 90% sustainable. Love it!
You can find the uncommon cafe on the corner of Jackson and Powell in Vancouver
Simply Delish sells some of the best spice mixes ever. Even though they ship worldwide, we are happy that we can find this company so close to home. Todd Jacobs started as a chef in the 90’s, changed his career but still has a passion for cooking. Since 2014 he is spicing up bbq dishes, steaks and veggies with his salts, peppers and spice blends.
On the Simply Delish website, you can also find inspiring recipes and cooking tips.
As one of the best grocery stores in Vancouver. They have a wide variety of high-quality produce. I love to browse their store to find new local products. Recently Choices Market started their online grocery store, with shopping across Canada.
Choices Markets are 100% BC owned and support local communities with school programs, fundraising events and Local, organic and fair trade food movement initiatives, and more.
Sign up for the Choices Market E-newsletter and find out more about upcoming events and specials.
Mark is a very skilled photographer. He specialized in a wide range of subjects. We love his food pictures, in fact, a lot of our pictures are made by Mark.
He runs his freelance photography business while he learns more about the art of photography at Langara College in Vancouver.
Besides food photography for Chef Lekker, he also takes pictures at special events, couple pictures and for other local businesses that need high-quality website pictures, social media images or staff portraits.
The Nature House is a fantastic event space. In the middle of the Maplewood Flats Conservation Area. Just a small walk to the coast of the Salish Sea. The nature house is part of the wild bird trust as a social enterprise program. You can even book a guided interpretative walk with a Naturalist. It is spacious, has (of course) a beautiful outdoor area, a kitchen and all at very affordable rates. This event space could be perfect for a business meeting, staff course, wedding.
We can offer our catering services in case you would like to book the nature house for your event
